Hello. My name is Michelle Armstrong. I am a 2D illustrator living in Glendale, CA. I have experience working in both games and animation. I am currently a prop designer on the upcoming Fox comedy, Housebroken. I also freelance at Jumpstart Games where I design and color items, food, clothes, and mystery capsules for Neopets.com.
I graduated from the University of Southern California in 2013 with a degree in Fine Arts and minors in Animation and Japanese. I worked at Jumpstart Games as a full time artist shortly after graduating. I then traveled abroad to Japan and spent three years teaching English to school children. I was reinvigorated, and set out to achieve my dream of working as an artist in animation. I returned to the USA, and became a production assistant on Bento Box’s new show, Duncanville. After much hard work and great determination, I became a 2D prop designer on Housebroken.
Since I was a child, I have loved drawing and animation. Animated films such as The Prince of Egypt and The Hunchback of Notre Dame moved me and had me longing to create. I was awed me by their stories and breathtaking art. While, I couldn’t completely comprehend the movies then, I understood the “feelings” through the images. These feelings animation gave me, made me fall in love with the art form.
